Today Ukraine U16 national team played their first match of the Aegean Sea Cup. Ukraine’s coach Oleksandr Lysenko has invited five Shakhtar academy players to join the national team: Mykyta Shevchenko, Illya Glushytskyy, Rostyslav Bogdasarov, Sergiy Lendel and Ivan Lukanyuk.  

Ukraine’s group B contenders are France, Belgium and the Czech Republic. Oleksandr Lysenko’s side lost the match with France – 2-0. Mykyta Shevchenko played fulltime, Rostyslav Bagdasarov was substituted after the break and Ivan Lukanyuk joined his team in the second half.   

Tomorrow our boys shall face their contemporaries from Belgium who drew with Czechs 2-2.
