1. Goal

FC Shakhtar management is determined to have as many club-trained players in the first team as possible. One of the most important tasks of the Academy is to scout for talented young players and their subsequent recruitment.

2. Principles of selection

FC Shakhtar Football Academys selection policy is focused on search and recruitment of footballing talent to the Academy. In case such a talent is found the Academy immediately makes him an offer to join. Every age group in the Academy may need a good player. Matches and training sessions will be organised for all age-groups to select the best players. Our final objective is to have the best players in the Academy.

Chief scout is responsible for processing all information on young players and for inviting players for football trials. His duty is to plan and attend different competitions. Head of the Scouting Department is closely cooperating with the Director of the Academy and managers of the professional and youth academies.

Soccer Schools

Shakhtar soccer schools can play a very important role and be of considerable help. Therefore, it is important to maintain contact with coaches there. There are 7 soccer schools in the region.
