What is Shakhtar?

Shakhtar is a fortress, hardened in battles; achievements gained through total self-devotion to the game; union of passion and combinative football.

Football Academy's one of the most important objectives set by the Club is to prepare players for the first team every year.

Our motto is:
"Quality's above quantity"

The FC Shakhtar Football Academy must aim to have as much gifted players as possible in all its teams. Characteristics of young players must correspond to the reputations of the Club, whose colours they represent. Every training session must have its unique feature. Young players must be raised like personalities and they must behave with dignity, like the ones who are playing for FC Shakhtar Donetsk. They must have a stance of champions!

FC Shakhtar must win back the reputation of a club once known for raising local talents for its first team.

Who we want to become?

We must become a club which would set the pace to others playing in the domestic championship and become a dream club at the international stage for those players willing to play for the top club.

To achieve these goals we must work during trainings and in competitions under a stable and clear scheme. Requirements must increase to be in line with a certain age group. Academy in general must continuously make training sessions more demanding. It will help the players reach highest level of performance.

Some of the distinctive features of the Shakhtar Football Academy:

• Academy's teams radiate strength during competitions;
• play of the Academy's teams is determinative and passionate. All players know their positions on the field, they perform a spectacular and combinative football, they strive to dominate;
• all teams always follow the same tactical plan;
• all teams of the Academy radiate aspiration for victory.

Players must posses mentality of our Club and have its feel of life when they where Shakhtar football kits.
